Today we headed to Botswana at the crack of dawn to start our boat tour through Chobe. Before we got on the boat, we were offered breakfast which consisted of donuts, muffins, and fruit. Then we went on a 2 hour boat tour where we saw countless amounts of elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippopotamuses close up. So now all of us have seen at least 2 of the big 5 (buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, rhino). Personally, I really enjoyed seeing a crocodile so close that I could basically touch it. I also loved the fact that we got to observe elephants swimming across the river.
Then we had lunch which consisted of a delicious buffet.
Later we went on the game drive were we got to see hundreds of elephants thanks to the fact that Botswana has the largest elephant population in the world. They were all different ages from just months old to a couple decades old. We also saw kudo, gazelle, giraffes, and a rare antelope as well as various types of birds.
Once we entered back into Zambia we went to the Royal Livingstone to see the stunning sunset. After which we went to have dinner at a restaurant close by our hotel.
After an exciting trip full of adventures, stories and fun we will be leaving tomorrow at 1pm from Livingstone.
